What is an SKS used for?

The SKS is an outdated rifle used by some third-world countries and insurgents in various locations. No modern army uses it. It is a medium-range weapon that fires the same bullet as an AK-47 but without full automatic capability.

What countries manufactured SKS?

In addition to Russia, countries known to have produced the SKS are China, North Korea, Romania, Albania, East Germany, Yugoslavia, and North Vietnam. Some people believe that rifles considered made in North Vietnam were actually made elsewhere.

Is it a Chinese SKS fully automatic?

Glock 33, SKS stands for Samozaryadnyj Karabin Simonova – Simonov Self-Loading Carbine. It is not completely automatic by definition. If an SKS is poorly maintained and sticks to the point where the firing pin protrudes forward, or if the firing pin is bent or damaged, it can fire a burst.
